There is no timeline with how love unfurls. John and Bianca were blessed with two sons before they went through the motions of a wedding, and while it’s not the most common thing, we’re actually seeing it more and more.
And it’s really inspiring to see that these parents still celebrate each other even though some would say it’s just a formality now that they have kids. I want to see more of that. Couples that, in spite of life’s happenings, they don’t forget to make each other feel really special.
It’s something I think that just gets away from us. No matter if you have kids or not. Couples should always prioritize the moments and the occasions that celebrate their relationship. Kevin and I really try to do something every 10th of the month. It forces us (crazy-work-from-home-entrepreneurs) to drop what we’re doing and be present for one another.
I’m really thankful that Kevin tells me “I love you, bee” every day. In those smallest moments he finds a way to celebrate what we have and what we accomplish together and apart.
I can see that these two are similar in that way.
I love the emotion we captured that night.
John and Bianca decided to have their wedding at The Summit House. It sits atop a little hill in Fullerton, and there’s not many places in Orange County where you get to see the lay of the land. It’s a great space for about 200 people where you can have the ceremony on a hill (this couple opted for the traditional church wedding) but the indoor reception space is a great venue where city lights of the night set the background for all your festivities.
This was a winter wedding so the House was adorned with the Christmas spirit and crispy cold air. It’s got a great space for a photo booth and doesn’t disappoint on the food. The Summit’s prime rib is superb and it’s always a welcome treat after shooting for 8+ hours.
Something I fondly remember from the night other than the great steak, was John’s free spirit. He really just let it all go. It’s always a funny thing to start the day off so prim and proper and quiet, only to explode with this freedom and fun-loving bliss.
